1. Academic Qualification
- 1. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
- 2. A 5% relaxation in marks is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates..
- 3. A minimum of two years of work experience after obtaining the Master’s degree is required.
- 4. Candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of admission.
2. Admission Process (Without NET)
- 1. Candidates without NET/SLET must appear for the PhD Entrance Examination conducted by the university
- 2. The PhD Entrance Exam is held twice a year in January and July.

- 4. Universities may conduct the entrance exam in online or offline mode, depending on their admission policy.
- 5. A minimum qualifying score is required in the PhD entrance exam to proceed further in the selection process.
- 6 Shortlisted candidates must appear for an interview or written assessment, where their research aptitude, subject expertise, and Statement of Purpose (SOP) are evaluated.
- 7. The final selection is based on performance in the PhD entrance exam, interview, and work experience assessment.
3. PhD Duration
- The minimum duration of the part-time PhD program is 4 years.
- The maximum duration allowed is 6 years, with no extensions beyond this period.
- Candidates with an MPhil degree are eligible for a 1-year exemption, reducing the minimum duration.
4. Tuition Fees
The annual tuition fees range from ₹9,000 to ₹25,000, depending on the university and discipline.
